Terminological Twists

Contestants were challenged to select a technical term, like something from the world of internet engineering or governmental policy, and make it the focus of their story. This was our first contest – marking a debut for many authors into the field of protocol fiction.

The Librarians

These short stories were written by Sachin Benny, who used a voracious LLM to crunch documentation from a 40-person futures workshop (Knowledge Futurama) into stories about humanity’s attempts to preserve its libraries for 1,000 years.

Ghosts in Machines

Why do ghosts have to stay in houses? What happens when the machines of the world become haunted? Read the winners and runner-ups to the second contest of Protocolized now. Also, try to spot all the ghosts.
